Following God’s Plan

It’s a vital part of following God’s plan for our lives is to Consecrating ourselves to His plan for you and I.

Matthew 26:39-42

We can see the Lord Jesus Christ praying the prayer of dedication. The verses give us an example of Jesus’ dedication as He consecrated Himself to do the Father’s will.

God is looking for believers who will dedicate and consecrate themselves wholly to Him to carry out His plan for their lives, just as Jesus did at Gethsemane and throughout His earthly ministry. The Lord’s eyes roam throughout the earth to find people whose hearts are dedicated to Him (2 Chron. 16:9). God is looking for believers who will say as Jesus did. “Not my will, Father, but Your will be done.”

Notice Jesus didn’t just pray this prayer once. He prayed virtually the same prayer three times (Matt. 26:39, 42, 44).

You see, the prayer of consecration is not a one-time prayer, as is the prayer of faith. You pray the prayer of consecration throughout your life. We can only be able to follow God’s plan for your life if you constantly maintain an attitude of consecration and surrender to the Lord’s will, whatever it might be.

There seems to be a lack of deep consecration to do God’s will among some Christian today. It seems that many believers are willing to lay some things on the altar, but not all. As a result, God’s plan for our lives is hindered. Many of His Blessing are withheld when they don’t totally consecrate themselves to do God’s will.

Consider your own consecration to God. Are you able to say from your heart, Lord, I’ll do whatever You ask me to do. I’ll go where you direct me. No matter where that may be.

You need to be willing to do whatever God ask you. You must commit yourself to God and do his will everyday for the rest of your life.

That doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes in being completely dedicated. God’s thought are higher than our thoughts (Isa 55) and his ways than our ways, God see the entire picture. It becomes a matter trusting God to the best direction for us. We will only experience the fullness of God’s plan and the full measure of His anointing and walk in the fullness of the Blessing if we are willing and obedient. In every area of our lives. That means fully surrendered to his will. God does know if we aren’t willing to obey him in a specific area. That unwillingness to follow him in every area will flood over into other area of our life, causing us to be unable to run the race that has been set for us. So many of God people are at a cross road in their lives. The solution is to consecrate our lives fully and unquestionable to God.

Standing at the crossroad where the plans and desires we have for our lives may look wide and bright, but the God word tells us there is a way that seem right but its way leads to destruction. God plan and purpose for us is straight and will lead us to the wealth place, a path filled with our provisions, a place of milk and honey.
